Commemorating the 150th anniversary of Kobe Port, the family of Mr. Shigeo Yasuhara (now-dead, former president of Nippon Koun K.K.) endowed this clock tower.
The clock tower's design is based on a gantry crane which is the symbol of port. And the benches which shape like containers are placed around the clock.
The leading-edge solar GPS is introduced to this clock, which always indicates the time accurately.
